What I can remember of Christmas 2011- "eventful"
We attended the Harris Family Christmas party as usual before Christmas. We usually sing songs, act out the nativity, and Santa comes to visit. (note Jackson is very shy, he never participates)
Charlie however- did. He was able to be "Baby Jesus". Nothing brings the spirit of christmas home more- than imagining your own child as Jesus himself- and pondering on his birth.
As always, Jackson was very shy and nervous around santa. At least there was no screaming this year!!
Charlie of Coarse was the perfect little angel-
We did our yearly tradition of looking at the beautiful City of Caldwell lights. Always so impressing.
Christmas eve jammies
Boys in their matching jammies. So fun dressing them a like!
A few days before Christmas, an unfortunate thing happened.Brent's Grandpa Bob passes away. We felt very blessed to have been able to see him just a few weeks prior to his passing. Brent's grandparents live in Utah so when Brent had an interview in SLC for a job, we were able to spend a couple hours visiting with them. They were able to meet Charlie and Jackson and Grandpa Bob played together- (Grandpa would pretend his hand was a gun, and they would make noises and shoot at each other, Jackson running around the room) Never did we think that was the last time seeing grandpa, but I'm so grateful that Jackson will remember his Great Grandpa Bob, because of that day. So even though Brent didn't get that job, we feel that the interview was made, so that we could see Grandpa and Grandma.
A few days after Christmas was the funeral. We stayed in a hotel with Nana, Papa, Cait and Bry. for a night. This was great because Papa and Cait also were able to meet Charlie for the first time.
Grandpa's funeral was as Beautiful as it could be. The spirit was strong and we were all reminded that Families are forever. I was so impressed by love and spirit that was shared that day with Brent's family. Grandma was beautiful and peaceful. I was so amazed at her strength.
After the ward made tons of food for the family to get together and eat. It was so nice seeing everyone. So even though our time was short we are so grateful we were able to go and be with everyone. I am so grateful that families are forever, and so excited for the day when each can be reunited with their family members
