Our Easter fun started at Jackson's preschool. They played peter rabbit games and had some fun treats. The next fun we had was with our friends doing an easter egg hunt! On Saturday we went to the annual Middleton Easter egg hunt. (always an adventure) Charlie did great! Jackson on the other hand ran out and started to pick up an egg than froze. He got like 3 eggs because by the time he realized he was ok to grab some, there was none left!
Than came easter Sunday! The boys got ties, treats and a movie. Hallie got a fun yellow dress. That evening we had steak (and mtn. dew) for dinner and went to my parents for an easter egg hunt with the cousins.
I of coarse have to say something about the true meaning of Easter. Throughout the day and Saturday before, I would ask Jackson why we have Easter, what is Easter really about? I was so impressed by his responses of Jesus Christ and of his death. He gets a little confused about the resurrection- but I know he knows the true meaning. Though we were excited for the Easter bunny- Christ is the true meaning of Easter and Because of him, I will have my little family forever and we will be reunited with our Matthew.
