Today Brent butchered our 6 week old meat chicken. This lady's whole life was doomed from the beginning. I wasn't home when he did it, but he braved it with the boys. I guess it went pretty good- for as well as it could be. She grew to be 6.8lbs feathered and when she went into the oven she was 5.6lbs. She put on good weight for the bread. It was an adventure watching her grow and try to run away from the other chickens with her overweight body and fat feet. Brent is proud to have successfully raised a meat chicken.
