Charlie's Pneumonia

On Friday- I decided to take Charlie to the Dr. he had a cold for over a month and we wanted to make sure everything was ok. His breathing seemed to be getting a little worse and he was having a small fever so we took him in. They tested him for RSV and the results came back negative. They said they were going to do a blood draw and a x-ray to see if he had pneumonia.

He was pretty happy with his sucker. Overall seeming like a happy kid!

The blood draw was first! So frighting and horrible holding your kid still for this.

Than was the x-ray. They  came back and told us that he had pneumonia really bad in the left lobe and that his blood count was ok so he didn't need admitted to the hospital. We were sent home with some antibiotics and told to watch his breathing.

The Next day (Saturday) Was Horrible! Charlie was having a really tuff time and was miserable. Did I mention I think we all got a little stomach flu at the same time on top of it so we were also dealing with all of us (but Brent) throwing up. Sunday morning we took him into the ER.

They did another x-ray. (different way this time) and breathing treatment. The x-ray showed that it was improving but the little guys o2 sats were not very high.  They monitored him for about 2 hours than we were released, his sats being at 91. We were happy he was ok but still worried for him. Dr. had said he would hate to admit him and put him through more pain/ uncomfort.

 Getting a breathing treatment

By Thursday the following week Charlie was overall back to normal. His cough hung around for a bit but he is the normal happy kid we know. Were so grateful he is ok. We love these boys too much, it breaks our hearts when we can't do anything for them when they are so sick.

Valentines Day

For Valentines this year the boys woke up to P.J's and chocolate

Jackson had preschool Valentines party that day too. He was so excited. A few weeks ago for preschool they had made valentines boxes.
We made these "robot" valentines. They were made out of
Juice Box (body)
Nerds (head)
starburst
Chocolate heart.
Jackson loved his and just wanted to play with them. I was going to take pictures of all the cute valentines he got but he ate them all before I got around to it!

Charlie all worn out.

While Charlie slept, Jackson and I had some fun playing in the nice weather. He wanted me to make him a spear. He found a rock and twine so we tied them to a stick. Needless to say it didn't last long when he tried to chip away some snow in our back yard.

That evening we did the usual v-day dinner for us. Pizza and wings from pizza hut.
Love my 3 Valentines.

Big Brother, Little Brother

Charlie loves Jackson. He follows him around everywhere. When Jackson isn't around, he is almost like a little lost puppy dog. Their relationship isn't always loving, brothers will be brothers, and I know Jackson gets a little annoyed sometimes. BUT I LOVE when I see them love each other- and when Jackson allows Charlie to love on him.
I couldn't resist smiling, and of coarse taking these pictures with Charlie wrapping his arm around Jackson and laying on him.

Couldn't be a prouder mom. And can never say enough how much I love these two!

Brody's Birthday fun!

On Wednesday it was Brodys Birthday! We were lucky enough to get to spend the day with him. We went to Wahooz and bowled and the boys got to play a few games! This was Charlie's first time bowling. He loved watching the balls when they came back up the wheelie thing (haha no idea what their called, but he loved it)

Jackson and Brody's Bowling shoes. These are the cutest bowling shoes ever!

Their favorite arcade attraction was this mini simulator ride. They loved it! We will definitely be doing this one again next time.
Jamie cought Charlie working is magic on this game. Someone had left some tokens or something in it because Charlie was able to retrieve some candy with the claw!
We had a great time spending celebrating Brody's Birthday. Jackson loves anything he gets to do with his cousins!

This was a few days before but I had to include the picture. oh Boys and their superheros!

P.S. Thanks Jamie for the pictures! Pretty sure I stole over half of them from you!! :)
