32 weeks- contractions

On Monday 9/12 I had my 32 weeks check up. Baby's heart beat sounded great and I am measuring right on due date. Only complaints I had was the TONS of "Braxton Hicks" I have been getting. This was no different than any other appointment of my complaint- since I have been having them for the last month or more.

Thursday Night, my paranoia set in. I felt like the baby as decreasing in movement. He wasn't near as active as he usually is. The next morning same thing. So I called the Dr and he had me come in for a NST to monitor baby and contractions. They hooked me up had me drink lots of juice and sure enough baby was everywhere and active. They monitored me for 20-25 min and in that time I had 4 pretty big contractions. They were concerned that I was having them while doing no activity. So they said maybe your dehydrated- go home drink lots of water and if you have 6-10 in an hour go to the labor and delivery room.
By the time I was home and resting contractions where still there but I didn't feel like going in. All day Saturday the contractions continued I was feeling about 6 an hour- but didn't want to wait for them to get so strong that I was in active labor. We went to the L&D at 7pm and where there till almost 11pm. Jackson came with us and I must say he did really good considering being in a confined room with nothing to do. They monitored me for an hour and half baby was good but my contractions were coming almost consistently every 4-5 min and getting stronger. They came and gave me a shot that is supposed to relax your uterus so no more contractions. While waiting for the shot to kick in they gave me an IV (in case of dehydration) drew some blood (To test if my blood is mixing with baby, which could mean placental abruption as what happened with Matthew) they took another sample to see my likely hood of delivering in two weeks was positive or negative and Finally check to see if I was dilated.
I was dilated almost to a 1 (no big deal right, people stay at a 1 for weeks sometimes) Test was Negative for both delivering baby in 2 weeks and for my blood mixing with baby's. I was feeling pretty relaxed and good after they gave me the shot- but it only lasted about and hour and my contractions were back. They said well maybe your still dehydrated. They gave me another thing of fluids in my IV. (so apx 64 fl oz.) At that point contractions where still there but not as strong.- they were occurring about every 1-2 min. We were left with to go home stay off feet when I feel them and to call Dr to see if he wants to see me this week 33 instead of 34.
Moral of story: Wasn't dehydration, wasn't any of the other listed above, The shot doesn't work for me, no one knows why I'm having contractions. So I left the hospital still having them, still am, and probably will have them for the next 2 months! Oh well though as long as baby is healthy that's all that really matters to me.

Jackson was very amazed by my IV "shot". He kept saying the Dr. fix me and "Mommy your baby ok?" he would give me kisses and was as sweet as ever. So glad Brent and him were with me for the long 4 hours and glad that baby is doing great!
