Jackson's first camping trip

Jacksons first camping trip was last week. We went with the Laws to Deadwood reservoir. It was a nice trip--definitely one to remember

Jesse and Teagen Fishing

Joshua Law and Braden Joshua Law on the Jesse's four wheeler

Every year there is some sort of even that happens! This year was the year of fire...oh and Jesse noticed his tire was flat on his camper when he was getting ready to head home. But FIRE.. Well it started with one of the camp chairs falling into the fire because the wind was blowing. What was left of it was really nothing...than the next was the Camper. We were all sitting in it chatting while dad was outside cooking breakfast..The next thing we know someone is yelling "The campers on fire" and we all are running out. Luckily they were able to get the fire extinguisher and put it out before it got out of control. I guess it was some wiring..Were so glad it wasn't a Disaster!

Every year JD and Amy make cobbler in their Dutch Ovens. It was great as always..

Jacks and Daddy in the Morning. All bundled up and ready to go!

Breakfast Saturday morning while the guys were fishing..mmm pancakes

Braden was so funny trying to get this ice cube off the table

Its Tradition that everytime we go to deadwood we go up to "The Rock" It is a HUGE rock at the top of one of the mountains. We either hike or ride the four-wheelers up there. When we went this time it was right before we were leaving. Jacks and Daddy were napping so I went up with Jesse and Teagen.
Here we are on the path to go up..

Saturday at about 3:30 we packed up and headed home. This was one of our rest stops as Jacks was fussy and needed out of the car.

Monday I went back to work. Jackson is able to come to work with me but still Needless to say it is really wearing me out more than I can almost handle. Being a mom is harder than I thought. But I sure do love it.

Colic

Define Colic: "acute abdominal pain (especially in infants)"
Yes-that dreaded word we heard so much about. Well Jackson for the past week has been very fussy and gassy. It really wares on a parent... We have been using the Gas Drops. They seem to work sometimes, but others he just seems to be in a lot of pain. Well yesterday and today have been really good days. He cries a little but not as much as the previous days. But I will testify that the times that he would sleep was my favorite part of the day. We love this boy no matter the little sleep he gives us. We hope our boy feels better and continues being the sweet little boy he is. Its hard seeing him curl up and cry.
Here he is all sprawled out for one of his naps...

Jackson LOVES his swing. He will sit in it for hours at a time just looking around.

He also LOVES his Binky. What a life saver this is when we are not at home or driving!

Well on Thursday this little guy will be a month old! He sure is growing and were loving him every second of the day! We are going on a family camping trip to Dead Wood with the Law family. He'll get to meet even more cousins and aunts and uncles!! Were very excited to get away and share this experience with Jackson for the first time!

Our week in Action--

This week has had some fun events...

Our baby all bundled up after church.

Uncle Josh Came for a visit and met baby Jacks for the first time! We were so happy to see and welcome Josh!

Well Last Night (wednesday) I went to Rigby-right in the Middle of Idaho Falls and Rexburg- to get my hair died (see below) On the way there my car over-heated. So I called my dad and he had me check my water/anti-freeze..Sure enough it was dry! So he told me to fill it with water and it should be fine all the way home... Well on the home I was getting on the freeway and talking to My brother Jesse. Sure enough I began to watch the thermostat raise to the "H" So I pulled over and Jesse comes to my rescue! It was about 8:30 at night. I was so greatfull to have Jesse there to help tow me home. We didn't get to Rexburg till about 10:15PM. After a couple attempts to drive it a little further and it overheating Jesse hooked up his tow rope. I must say that was a little scary to me as I have never before been towed. Luckily Jackson slept the whole time except for the last few min of towing. We still have yet to know whats wrong with it. They assume that its the thermostat blocked..or something like that. But once again Soooo Greatfull to Jesse for taking time out of his night to come rescue me. I owe him big!!

This gal that it taking over my position while i'm on maternity leave does hair. She was so generous to do mine last night! I needed something new and I love how it turned out!!
Here is the Before

And the after:
She weaved some Carmel and Dark Brown into my hair and put some more layers and bangs into it!

Jackson also got his pictures taken today- We went to JC Pennys. They did not get very many pictures because as you can tell Jackson was not very happy! Here are a few:
